KORNATI NATIONAL PARK
Kornati National Park comprises altogether 89 islands, islets and reefs, and lies in the central part of the Adriatic. Official entrances to the Kornati National Park sea waters are Opat and Proversa. Official entrances to the Kornati National Park sea waters are Opat and Proversa. Kornati National Park lies approx. 7 nm from Murter, i.e. approx. 15 nm from Šibenik and Zadar.

Each visitor should have a valid entrance ticket for each day of his stay in the park area. Tickets may be obtained at sales points on the coast beyond the borders of Kornati National Park, at - Public Institution NP “Kornati” in Murter, in some marinas, charter companies and tourist agencies indicating ticket sale for NP “Kornati”, and at reception boats in the Park or at the receptions of the National Park area: Luka Žakan a Ravni Žakan island and Vruje Cove on Kornat island.

Special protection zones in the Kornati National Park are: Purara islet, Klint and Volić reefs, as well as the marine belt at a distance of 3 cables from their coastline,

• Mrtovnjak islet and the marine belt at a distance of 1 cable from its coastline and from the national park border respectively, Klobučar islet and the marine belt at a distance of 1 cable from its coastline and from the center of the passage between the islets of Klobučar and Gustac respectively,

• Obručan Mali and Veliki islets and marine belt at a distance of 1cable from their coastline and up to the middle of the passage between Obručan Veliki islet and Levrnak island respectively. Besides in special protection zones, navigation is permitted in the entire area of Kornati National Park.

Anchoring and overnight are permitted in the coves Stiniva, Strižnja, Statival, Lupeška, Tomasovac-Suha punta, Šipnate, Lučica, Kravljačica, Gujak, Smokvica, Ravni Žakan, Vruje, Lavsa, Opat, Piškera - Panitula Vela and Anica on Levrnaka.
Special permits are required for sports fishing. These may be obtained from the Public Institution Kornati National Park office.

Recreational fishing is permitted only against previously obtained recreational fishing permit issued by the Public Institution Kornati National Park. Diving in Kornati National Park is allowed only if organized by a legal entity and/or individual registered for such activities and being granted by the Public Institution Kornati National Park a valid permit issued by the State Directorate for the Protection of Cultural and Natural Heritage for organizing and carrying out diving visits at Kornati National Park.

Individual diving is permitted only through authorized organized groups! In Kornati National Park there are nine zones where diving visits are permitted under given conditions: Kornat (Opat – Tanka Prisliga), Samograd, Oključ, Mala Panitula, Vela Panitula, Rasip, Mali Rasip, Mana, Borovnik. Kornati - the most indented archipelago on the Mediterranean, with 140 uninhabited islands, islets and reefs.
